Interlibrary Loan

FAQS

How do I request an Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?

You  can request an Interlibrary Loan by submitting the request form below.   The more information, the easier it will be to find the book and get in  touch with you.  You may also call the library, or stop by to fill out a  paper form.

How long can I keep the ILL?

It  depends, unlike items from our library, the due date for ILLs is not  fixed.  The due date will be written on the front of the book.  You must  return the item by that day.  Late fees for ILLs are $1.00 per day.

Can an ILL be renewed?

Some  interloan items can be renewed.  If you need to renew an item please  let us know at least five days before the item is due.  This gives us  enough time to contact the lending library to request a renewal.

How long does it take to get an ILL?

It depends on where the item is coming from.  Some take a week, others can take up to 6 weeks.

If you have any further questions call us (608)374-7470.  Email the interloan department at tpl_ill@yahoo.com

Please note that items released in the past 6 months cannot be requested through ILL.
